About InfraTech Academy
While I was writing my book on how to transform to Intent-Based Networking, and working out the methodology, it became clear to me that the contents of the book alone would not be sufficient on its own. My book primarily focuses on the campus network and a methodology on how to transform existing networks into Intent-Based Networking.
And that is a great starting point, but I felt that there was more to it than describing the how.
I felt that besides the how, there is also a need in understanding more about all the aspects that relate to IBN, from its concepts to technologies, how they work, how they are managed and how you can leverage that IBN capability even one or two steps further.
Many enterprises will transform towards IBN in one form or the other, with partners, suppliers or on their own. And in order to do that succesfully, knowledge is needed. Knowledge of the concepts, how to operate a specific piece of a vendor, how technology works under the hood (gory details), or how things are related to each other. And preferably based on practical experiences, as the real world is often quite different from the ideal one.
And IBN is not alone, it is part of a larger whole as Infrastructure IT and Technology. And that is why I decided to found the InfraTech Academy.
The academy is an online e-learning environment and community that focuses on concepts and technology used in IT infrastructures, like networking, security, cloud, servers, and of course Intent-Based Networking as an overall process.
My goal with the academy is to allow you to learn more about all these great concepts like IBN, software-defined, and the underlying technologies. I'm intentionally not focusing on certifications; there are plenty of other great platforms out there. The academy is focused on the technologies and how you can use them in real-world situations.
Check out the course directory is one for you. And if you think a specific topic would be of interest to the academy and it is not in the please let me know.
